This week, the Cuban coast guard decided to play judge, jury, and executioner when it opened fire on a speedboat registered in Florida. No warning shots, just bullets flying and people dying—right off the northern coast of Cuba. Four people are dead, six more wounded, and for what? Simply trying to escape from a crumbling, socialist nightmare.
Let’s not forget who’s in charge down there: Miguel Díaz-Canel, a dictator who rules with an iron fist and turns his military on his own people. He’s the favorite of globalist elites, those same liberals who preach about “human rights” and “compassion” from their ivory towers, all while looking the other way when communist thugs murder people just trying to grab a slice of freedom. Remember, this speedboat wasn’t some warship. It was an escape route for people desperate enough to risk everything for a shot at the American dream.
Florida’s Cuban-American community knows this story all too well. Families ripped apart, parents afraid their kids will be jailed—or worse—because they dared to hope for a better life away from socialist hell. Meanwhile, the Biden administration sits on its hands, too busy bending over backwards for the radical left and appeasing dictators around the globe. They send billions to corrupt regimes but can’t even stand up for our own citizens or their neighbors facing communist violence less than 100 miles from our shores.
What’s the lesson here? Socialism fails, every single time. When the left coddles tyrants instead of condemning them, innocent people pay for it with their lives. International organizations will probably look the other way, as usual—because the victims weren’t part of the liberal elite’s pet projects. This was a Florida-registered boat. Real Americans trying to help real people. And Big Government thugs snuffed them out—while the world shrugs.
America can’t afford to keep ignoring these atrocities. If the left won’t stand up to communist killers, real conservatives must. How many more people need to die before liberals admit their so-called “tolerance” of globalist regimes has a body count? Or does “compassion” only matter when it’s politically convenient?
