Gavin Newsom’s PR Team in Chaos as California Spirals into Crisis and Embarrassment

California has always liked to brag about being “the future” of America. If that’s true, then heaven help us all. Under Gavin Newsom, disaster has become the new normal—and his own team can’t even cover for him. The governor’s so-called “digital geniuses” are scrambling, posting, spinning, and failing worse than ever. It’s pure chaos.

Newsom loves the cameras and endless hashtags, but these days his communications operation is falling apart. What do you get with a bunch of untested, arrogant twenty-somethings calling the shots? Not strong leadership—just more glitzy nonsense and excuses. When things go wrong, all they seem to do is post selfies or start Twitter fights. It could be funny if it wasn’t so embarrassing.

While Newsom’s PR crew melts down, the state crumbles under a pile of real-world problems: crime, homelessness, high taxes, and businesses fleeing the state in record numbers. Instead of owning up to failure, his team tries to meme their way out of disaster. Their only “talent” is spinning fairy tales, hoping Californians won’t notice what’s happening around them. The incompetence is on full display.

This is liberal governance in action—image over results, social media over substance, flash over facts. Newsom’s folks act as if caring about people is just another TikTok trend. California deserves better, but all they get is more arrogant posturing, smug tweets, and a parade of failures nobody wants to talk about. The so-called “Golden State” has turned into a sinking ship steered by clueless activists obsessed with their own profiles.

At the end of the day, nobody’s buying the show anymore. Gavin Newsom’s comms team might be good at emojis, but they’re useless at hiding the mess their boss has made. Maybe next time, Democrats can find someone qualified to handle reality instead of just pretending for the internet. Or are liberals that allergic to the truth?
