Instead of rewarding hard work and experience, the left wants to hand out promotions based on skin color and gender. The men and women risking their lives each day are now being told that their qualifications no longer matter—identity is everything. Because for liberals, ticking boxes and appeasing activists is more important than true leadership.

Now the geniuses running the city think they’ll fix things by punishing some officers and promoting others just to meet a quota. It’s madness. When will the left admit that merit, not identity politics, keeps our cities safe?
