Arizona lawmakers fight back finally forcing police to report illegal immigrant arrests to feds

Arizona lawmakers are finally showing some backbone. There’s talk in the state House about a bill that would force police to tell federal agents every time they arrest an illegal immigrant. Imagine that—actually enforcing the law! In a country where the southern border looks more like an open invitation instead of a line in the sand, this is the kind of common sense leadership Americans are desperate for.

Nine law enforcement agencies in Arizona aren’t waiting for Washington bureaucrats to wake up. They’re already part of the federal 287(g) program, where local officers help enforce immigration laws. This isn’t “cruelty,” as the open-borders crowd loves to scream. It’s simply doing the job Democrats want to pretend doesn’t exist. When illegal immigrants get picked up for breaking the law, the feds should know about it, plain and simple.

Let’s not kid ourselves—illegal immigration is not some harmless mistake. It’s a slap in the face to every law-abiding American. While globalist elites sip wine and blabber about “compassion,” real families pay the price. Crime goes up. Communities change overnight. Schools and hospitals get flooded. But the left is more worried about virtue-signaling than safety.

Liberals love to claim that enforcing immigration law is “racist” or “un-American.” Here’s what’s un-American: letting criminals sneak in, break the law, and then shielding them from real justice. Try getting away with that sort of lawlessness in any other country. Only in Joe Biden’s America is protecting the border a controversial idea.

Arizona is gearing up to lead the charge. Other states should follow. Maybe instead of tying the hands of local police, Washington should be taking notes. Isn’t it time the people in charge started caring about Americans first?
