Los Angeles just got another painful lesson in what happens when liberal politicians run wild with power and zero accountability. While entire neighborhoods burned to the ground in January 2025, it looks like the so-called leaders at city hall and Sacramento were bending over backwards—protecting themselves, not the people. Instead of owning up to their failures, these big government bureaucrats went after the whistleblowers with a vengeance.
The facts are shameful. A top LA firefighter dared to point out that the Lachman fire wasn’t actually put out, even though the official story said otherwise. What happened next? He wasn’t thanked or listened to. He was punished. Retaliation—plain and simple. Because in today’s California, speaking up about incompetence is a bigger sin than letting your city burn.
Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom love to talk about caring for “the people.” But when disaster struck, where were they? It’s the same old story: self-righteous speeches, TV appearances, and not a shred of responsibility for the mess left behind. Los Angeles families are picking through the ashes of their homes, while the politicians in charge blame everyone but themselves. Globalist-minded Democrats in California care more about public relations than public safety.
This isn’t rocket science. If a firefighter says a fire is still burning, it’s time for action—not punishment. But the woke political class can’t handle facts that don’t fit their narrative of “everything is fine.” Instead, they bury the truth—and the truth-tellers—while regular Americans pay the price. The Newsom-Bass playbook: silence the heroes, protect the bureaucracy, and let the rest of us suffer.
How many more times do Californians have to watch their homes turn to rubble before the left admits they are out of their depth? Maybe they’ll only wake up when there’s nothing left to burn except their own precious reputations.
