For years, the liberal media has tried to sell Americans on the idea that Iranians love their brutal, theocratic rulers. They paint the Ayatollahs as misunderstood and veil any hint of resistance sweeping through the country. But now, as the West finally stands up to the oppressive regime, new reports show something astonishing: Iranians everywhere, especially those with family and friends still trapped inside that miserable dictatorship, are celebrating. They’re taking to the streets, hopeful that regime change could finally be on the horizon.
How sad is it that the so-called global “experts”—the same people who always seem eager to coddle dictators—never saw this coming? Instead of facing facts, the left-wing bureaucrats and their media allies keep apologizing for the mullahs, all while the Persian people have desperately wanted freedom for decades. The hypocrisy is staggering. Liberals are quick to turn a blind eye to human rights abuses as long as it means keeping the “status quo” and maintaining their cozy globalist deals.
The truth is, we shouldn’t be surprised that ordinary Iranians are embracing the West’s bold move. They’ve suffered under the Ayatollahs’ iron fist for far too long. Every day in that regime is darker than the last. People risk death just for speaking their minds or daring to hope for something better. Yet somehow, the White House under past Democratic administrations was more interested in signing check after check to these tyrants than actually supporting the people.
What’s worse is how the left treats real dissent. When conservatives call out the evils of the Iranian regime, they’re labeled as warmongers or Islamophobes. Meanwhile, leftist activists claim to support “the people,” but where is their outrage for those living under Tehran’s boot? Now, as Persians celebrate the West pushing back, the silence from liberal elites is deafening.
Let’s be clear: a free Iran is bad news for globalists and America’s enemies, but great news for everyone else. If the Iranian people can finally shake off their oppressors, maybe next time the world won’t need to wait for Western strength. Here’s a question for the anti-American left: Why do you always seem to take the side of the tyrants—with history proving time and again that the people are desperate for liberty?
