Once again, the global elite at the United Nations are tripping over themselves to slap America and Israel on the wrist while ignoring the real threats. The latest outrage? The U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is huffing and puffing, condemning U.S.-Israel airstrikes on Iran and calling for an “emergency meeting” of the Security Council. You have to wonder, where was Guterres—and the rest of the U.N.—when Iran was funding terror groups, chanting “Death to America,” and plotting attacks on innocent civilians?
This is classic globalist hypocrisy at its worst. The left loves to talk about “international norms” and “world peace,” but whenever American forces do the hard work to keep the world safe, it’s suddenly a crisis. The U.N. acts like the problem is always the West defending itself, never the radical regimes threatening our freedom. It’s easier for the U.N. to blame America and our allies than to confront the reality that Iran—a sworn enemy of the West—has spent years destabilizing the Middle East.
Liberals predictably fall in line with this narrative. They wag their fingers at the U.S. and Israel for having the guts to stand up to Iran’s aggression. Meanwhile, they turn a blind eye to Iranian missiles, kidnappings, and their open vows to wipe Israel off the map. Somehow, the callous violence from Tehran never makes it to the top of the agenda at these “emergency” meetings. But the second the U.S. pushes back, the global left springs into action, clutching their pearls and wringing their hands.
The entire spectacle reeks of anti-American bias. Instead of standing with the only true democracies in the region, the United Nations is siding with the world’s biggest state sponsors of terror. The message to Iran and every other thug regime? Cause chaos, bully your neighbors, and the U.N. will look the other way. But if America dares to defend itself—or its friends—get ready for lectures and finger-pointing.
America and Israel won’t take orders from bureaucrats who care more about virtue signaling than real security. It’s about time the United States stopped playing along with these tired charades. Maybe the real emergency is that the U.N. has become a platform for America-haters, not for real peace. How long will we pretend this circus is anything but a joke?
