Pete Hegseth’s Enemies Owe Him an Apology—But Don’t Hold Your Breath
Here we go again. Pete Hegseth takes a tough job, serves his country, gets results—and the Left can’t handle it. When President Trump picked Hegseth for Secretary of Defense, Democrats and their media lapdogs exploded with rage. Their favorite trick? Smear campaigns. They didn’t argue about policy—they painted Hegseth as a white supremacist, an “extremist,” even dragging up nonsense about tattoos and wild conspiracy theories. They were practically foaming at the mouth on cable news.
But the Left’s hypocrisy doesn’t stop at pathetic insults. Liberal activists and so-called “experts” rushed out editorials claiming Hegseth was “unqualified” to run the Pentagon. Never mind Hegseth’s long record of service in the Army National Guard, with combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. The “brilliant” minds at Democrat think tanks sneered that he didn’t match up to bureaucrats who’ve spent their lives climbing the DC ladder. Somehow, running massive military operations under real pressure isn’t enough for the globalist club in Washington.
As usual, when wild personal attacks didn’t stick, they dug deeper into the gutter. One “scandal” after another—some story from an ex-wife of Hegseth’s brother, rumors about drinking, anything to distract from the fact that Hegseth kept delivering for America. They shouted about “abusive behavior,” but the only abuse here is how Democrats treat anyone willing to stand up for this country. It’s laughable to hear lectures about “morality” from the party of Pelosi and Hunter Biden.
What’s the real record? Under Hegseth, the Army not only hit but blew past its recruitment goals. The military’s fighting spirit came roaring back, and enemies of the United States took real losses. Hegseth oversaw complicated, successful operations—from dismantling Iranian nuclear sites to the precision airstrike campaign that left adversaries running scared. When it came time to take out Venezuela’s corrupt dictator, it was done without losing a single American life. That’s leadership. That’s results. Compare that with the disaster Biden’s Defense Secretary left behind—thirteen troops dead in a humiliating Afghanistan retreat, and a boss who couldn’t even tell the president he was in the ICU. Liberals call this “qualified.” Conservatives call it shameful.
Even now, with Operation Epic Fury hailed as an unmatched success in military precision and scale, the media is silent. No apologies. No honest coverage. Just the same echo chamber blaming Trump and Hegseth for daring to put America first. While every tough job means risk—and we grieve every lost soldier—the track record is clear. Under Hegseth, America acts strong, makes our enemies pay attention, and brings pride back to the ranks.
Don’t expect the Left to say sorry. They’re too busy licking their wounds and dreaming up the next hit piece. The facts are out there: Hegseth gets it done. Isn’t it funny how Democrats scream about “qualifications” only when a patriotic conservative threatens to upset their decades-long power trip?
