Danise fought bravely after her injuries in January, but complications took her life. After nearly six decades of marriage, Congressman Baird is left to mourn a loss that never should have happened.
Who is looking out for families like the Bairds when Democrats keep pushing for soft-on-crime policies? Time and time again, leftist lawmakers talk a big game about compassion, but where’s the compassion for victims of these senseless crimes? They want to reform police, decriminalize everything under the sun, release offenders before sunrise, and then act shocked when innocent Americans pay the price. That’s the real state of “progress” in today’s America.
Let’s be clear—this tragedy isn’t just bad luck. It’s the direct result of a system that puts criminals first and law-abiding families last. Our ruling elites, obsessed with global agendas and woke nonsense, look the other way as these violent acts destroy lives. Meanwhile, husbands, wives, and children in heartland America suffer, hoping some radical prosecutor doesn’t let another criminal walk.
Danise Baird represented what’s best about this country. Strong values, a commitment to family, and the kind of faith that built this nation. She stood by her husband for 59 years—through good times and bad—while politicians in Washington tossed aside those very values in favor of chaos and cheap ideology. The Bairds, like so many others, worked hard, played by the rules, and believed in the promise of America. What do they get in return? A justice system too worried about hurting criminals’ feelings to deliver justice for the victims.
How many more wholesome Americans must die before our so-called leaders stop coddling criminals and put the safety of regular people first?
