Washington is at it again, tying the President’s hands right when the world needs American strength the most. This week, the Senate is charging forward with a so-called “War Powers Resolution” designed to choke off the Commander-in-Chief’s ability to hit back at Iran. All because four brave Americans lost their lives during Operation Epic Fury. It’s outrageous. Instead of honoring their sacrifice by bringing justice to those responsible, the politicians want to pull up the drawbridge and wave the white flag.
This is classic liberal thinking on display. When faced with violent enemies who kill Americans, the left’s answer is always the same. Hamper our military, drag out debates in committee rooms, and please the international crowd with empty gestures. Iran has spent decades chanting “Death to America,” funding terror, and threatening our allies. Yet, somehow, the left thinks America just needs to “de-escalate.” That’s a fantasy. The only language tyrants and terrorists understand is strength.
Now, the Senate wants to make sure the President can’t even defend us effectively. Why? Because the globalist ruling class is more worried about their image at the United Nations than about the safety of Americans. They’d rather risk emboldening the Iranian regime than admit that American force keeps the world safer. It’s the worst kind of political theater, and our troops always end up paying the price.
Anyone celebrating this power grab is either dangerously naive or intentionally sabotaging America’s security. These are the same politicians who claim to “support the troops” at election time but tie their hands when it counts. Let’s call it what it is: anti-American cowardice, dressed up as “oversight” and “restraint.”
When American soldiers are attacked, the right answer isn’t to lecture about restraint—it’s to stand tall and call out our enemies. The Senate’s obsession with kneecapping the President is a gift to Tehran. The only question is how many more American lives will be put at risk before Washington remembers what it means to lead.
