It’s no secret that China has its hands in almost every corner of American life these days. Now, Republican lawmakers are finally sounding the alarm about a tech company called Anker Innovations. Here’s the kicker: Anker is backed by the People’s Republic of China. That’s right, the same communist regime that spies on us, steals our ideas, and undermines our freedoms is also helping bankroll this “global smart hardware technology company.”
Why should anyone care? Because Anker is raking in money from American customers, while reportedly misleading them about who’s really behind the curtain. If it wasn’t for the sharp eyes of GOP leaders, who knows how long this would have gone unchallenged? Meanwhile, where are the Democrats? Too busy kowtowing to Beijing and globalist interests to even notice—let alone care.
This isn’t the first time a company tied to China has tried to worm its way into our homes, electronics, and personal data. But liberals in Washington are always quick to shrug it off or, worse, welcome it with open arms. They love foreign money and tech deals, even if it spells trouble for American consumers. Apparently, as long as it hurts President Trump or undercuts conservative voices, left-wing leaders could care less about national security.
Republicans are asking the Trump administration to launch a serious investigation into Anker’s shady practices. Thank goodness somebody’s willing to fight for American families, workers, and our way of life. It’s simple: Americans deserve to know the truth. They shouldn’t be lied to or exploited by companies that answer to Chinese communists.
Once again, it’s the GOP standing up against foreign threats and liberal silence. How many back doors to Beijing are Democrats willing to ignore? Maybe it’s time they start caring more about protecting our country than appeasing their buddies on the global stage.
