When Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei finally met his maker, you almost had to laugh at the way America’s left-wing elite went into mourning. Of course, these self-righteous liberals love to pretend they stand for “human rights” and “democracy.” But the second a notorious dictator bites the dust—one who screamed death to America for a living—they suddenly act like the world has lost a saint. It’s sick, but not at all surprising.
Here’s a guy who spent his career calling us the “Great Satan.” His regime crushed women, jailed protesters, and backed terrorists. But you wouldn’t know that by watching the crocodile tears from the liberal class. Instead, their first instinct is to cozy up to a regime that hates American values. Why? Because deep down, these leftists despise the very country that gives them the freedom to whine online and protest in the streets.
This is what you get with liberal “leadership” at home and abroad. These people love to play nice with America’s enemies. Maybe it’s because they see Iran’s hatred for America as something they can relate to. After all, liberals are the champions of blaming America for everything. Whether it’s police, history, or our basic way of life—they find a way to knock it down and prop up anyone who opposes us.
Let’s be real. No genuinely pro-American person feels bad for the death of a guy who worked his whole life trying to wipe out our country and our allies. But the left—always desperate to show off their “compassion”—tries to one-up each other with syrupy sympathy for the worst people on earth. It’s almost as if they’d rather stand with tyrants than hard-working Americans who love their flag.
Liberals cry for Khamenei, but laugh at patriotic Americans. It’s time we call it what it is: sympathy for the devil. If the left keeps showing more love to dictators than to their own country, maybe they should just pack up and move to Tehran. How much more obvious can their anti-American bias get?
