San Francisco promises reparations while crime and homelessness spiral out of control

San Francisco just can’t help itself. Instead of fixing real problems—crime, homelessness, trash piling up—city leaders want to be the nation’s next woke experiment. The latest? They’re rolling out their own reparations plan, following a trend started by Evanston, Illinois. But let’s be honest: this isn’t about righting wrongs. It’s about buying applause from activists and showing off for the global left.

City officials are desperate for headlines, so they treat taxpayer money like some endless magic pot. They ignore the real suffering: families fleeing in fear, businesses locking up, jobs vanishing. While regular San Franciscans beg for basic safety and sanity, their so-called leaders talk about cutting checks for people who never experienced slavery, paid for by people who never owned slaves. Forget logic. This is about virtue signaling and patting themselves on the back.

The truth is, these leftist politicians never think things through. There’s no solid income plan for covering these payouts. No real way to measure who deserves what. It’s all theater. City budgets are already teetering on bankruptcy, and yet liberal elites and their globalist friends expect working families—already crushed by inflation—to foot the bill for their guilt games.

Turn a blind eye to homelessness camps, open-air drug markets, and out-of-control shoplifting, but shout about reparations from the rooftops. That’s San Francisco in 2024—run by progressives who care more about hashtags than real results. These officials aren’t solving problems. They’re handing out empty promises—while the city crumbles around them.

San Francisco’s reparations stunt isn’t about justice. It’s political performance, bought and paid for by the taxpayers liberals claim to champion. At this rate, will there be any city left for them to “save” once they’re done burning through other people’s money?
