City officials are desperate for headlines, so they treat taxpayer money like some endless magic pot. They ignore the real suffering: families fleeing in fear, businesses locking up, jobs vanishing. While regular San Franciscans beg for basic safety and sanity, their so-called leaders talk about cutting checks for people who never experienced slavery, paid for by people who never owned slaves.
