Iran’s dictator is gone but his son is ready to seize power and the left is silent

Iran’s radical regime just got a shake-up, and the world better pay attention. America and Israel finally took out Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ending over three decades of his iron-fisted rule. The so-called leaders of the left will moan about “international law” and “restraint,” but the truth is this: Khamenei’s reign was a dark chapter for freedom, stability, and human rights.

Now, the mullahs are scrambling. The regime’s inner circle is pushing for Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba, to take his father’s place. This isn’t democracy—it’s a family business built on terror, lies, and anti-American hatred. For all the left’s bellyaching about “equality” and “open societies,” where are their protests when a brutal dictatorship hands power from father to son like it’s a crown?

Let’s be clear: Iran has had only three Supreme Leaders since Jimmy Carter’s disastrous mishandling of the 1979 revolution. These men aren’t elected by the people, and they answer to nobody except their own twisted ideology. Liberals and their globalist friends prefer to pretend these dictators can be reasoned with. Meanwhile, they look the other way as Iran bankrolls terrorism and threatens its neighbors.

The hypocrisy is staggering. If this sort of power grab happened in a right-wing nation, CNN and the New York Times would be pounding their keyboards in outrage. But when hardline Islamic extremists keep their people under a boot, silence. Maybe it’s easier for the left to blame America—again—than face the evil right in front of them.

America must not fall for empty talk about “reform” as the next Khamenei rises to power. The world doesn’t need another puppet ruler in Tehran hellbent on destroying the West. The smiles from liberals in D.C. and European elites won’t protect anyone from a regime built on hate. Whose side are they really on?
