Minnesota wasted millions on fraud because leaders feared being called racist taxpayers lose again

Minnesota’s so-called leaders just handed criminals the keys to the treasury because they were terrified of hurting someone’s feelings. State officials spotted fraud raging through a COVID food assistance program early on, but instead of slamming the brakes, they hit the gas. Why? Because they were more afraid of being sued for “race discrimination” than they were of criminals looting taxpayer cash.

It’s the same story, every time. The left’s obsession with political correctness is destroying American communities. When agencies put looking “woke” over doing what’s right, children suffer and public money disappears. In Minnesota, the bureaucrats practically admitted they let the fraud spiral because they didn’t want an expensive, ugly lawsuit about race. So millions in aid vanished—unaccounted for, untracked, and out the door.

Let that sink in. These cowards saw the warning signs. They knew scammers were milking the program for everything it was worth. But liberal fear—fear of being called mean names by far-left activists—kept the money flowing. Leave it to Democrats and their allies to prioritize their image over basic accountability.

Minnesota isn’t some isolated case. This is what happens every time government gets too big, too soft, and too desperate to appease every radical special interest. Instead of protecting taxpayers and serving hungry families, officials are more worried about getting blasted on social media for being “insensitive.” Globalists and leftist elites love this weakness—because it means nobody’s ever held responsible. The crooks get rich while working people pick up the tab.

If this is “progress,” count conservatives out. Americans deserve leaders who will fight fraud, not make excuses for it. The left keeps talking about fighting inequality, but all they create is more waste, more crime, and less trust in government. Maybe it’s time Minnesota’s officials grow a backbone—or hand the reins to someone who actually cares about the people paying the bills. How many scams have to happen before liberals finally wake up?
