Violence against law enforcement is getting out of control. Just look at what’s happening at our southern border. When a criminal thinks he can get away with shooting at Border Patrol agents in Texas, something is seriously wrong with our country. But the left keeps looking the other way, pretending this is all some misunderstanding or—worse—our own Border Patrol’s fault. That’s not just incompetence, it’s shameful.
Why are federal officials forced to look over their shoulders every day? These men and women are just doing their jobs, trying to keep America safe. That used to mean something. Now, thanks to years of soft-on-crime politicians and open-border cheerleaders, Border Patrol agents are targets. Vandalism and violence against ICE and Homeland Security have become routine, and nobody in Washington seems to care—unless they can somehow blame law enforcement for daring to protect us.
And let’s talk about the real threat: Mexican cartels. These ruthless groups are ordering their criminals to fire at Americans from across the border. Imagine if the tables were turned. If American citizens attacked government officers in Mexico, it would be world news. But when our agents take fire, the outrage is nowhere to be found. Globalist elites sit comfortably in their gated communities while chaos spreads at the border, brought on by their own disastrous policies.
Maybe if politicians and activists stopped demonizing law enforcement for five minutes, they’d notice officers are under attack by actual criminals. But the liberal establishment is more concerned with virtue signaling than saving lives—or our country’s sovereignty. Every assault against Border Patrol is an assault on every law-abiding American. And every time the left ignores it, they’re siding with the criminals, not the brave agents on the front lines.
This latest attacker learned the hard way that there are still consequences for crossing the line. But for how much longer? How many more have to take up arms against our agents before the government puts the safety of Americans first? Maybe it’s time the left woke up and started defending our border, instead of defending those aiming guns at it.
