Democrats just can’t help themselves. Once again, they’ve landed squarely on the losing side of an issue that’s about as lopsided as you can get—an 80/20 split. That’s not just a little out-of-touch; that’s political malpractice. It’s no wonder ordinary Americans are sick of the ruling elite sneering from behind their fancy podiums and gated communities.
While figures on the left parade around as “champions of the people,” the truth is they keep backing policies that only a fringe group could possibly find reasonable. Real Americans know what’s common sense. When an overwhelming majority stands together, it usually means something obvious is being missed by the folks in D.C.—and wouldn’t you know it, those folks always have a (D) after their name. Democrats seem incapable of learning. Are they listening to some globalist think tank echo chamber instead of talking to the people who pay their salaries?
If this were a sports game, the left would be the team that shows up to the wrong stadium and still expects applause. They fumble the ball, make excuses, and act surprised when people start leaving in droves. But this isn’t a game. It’s about the future of the country. When 80% of Americans agree on an issue, and Democrats only hear the 20%—you have to wonder, who are they serving? It sure doesn’t look like it’s the average family worried about grocery bills or border security.
Liberals love speechifying about democracy. But when the vast majority of Americans stand on one side, they ignore them. That’s not democracy—it’s arrogance. It’s also how we get stuck with policies that benefit foreign interests or big donors, not real patriots. Instead of listening to the working mom or the small-town business owner, Democrats cling to radical ideals and call the rest of us backward.
Let’s call this what it is: a party hopelessly out of touch and blinded by its own echo chamber. They’ve picked the wrong side of the 80/20 issue—again. Maybe next time they can ask Americans what they want, instead of telling us what we’re supposed to think. Or maybe Democrats prefer to keep losing. Either way, voters see through the charade. How many more 80/20 mistakes will it take for liberals to realize they’re not fighting for America at all?
