Whenever Big Tech builds their massive data centers—those energy-guzzling fortresses powering the woke internet—regular folks feel the pain in their electric bills. Average working families are left in the dust while Silicon Valley fat cats claim they’re saving the world. Liberals, of course, have turned a blind eye. As usual, someone else foots the bill when elite globalists ride high on their green energy dreams.

Something changed at the White House this week. President Trump led the charge, calling out these tech corporations and forcing them to step up for a change. After all, Big Tech is the reason our electric grids are under such strain in the first place. Why should any American family pay more to keep Mark Zuckerberg’s servers running 24/7? It’s time the companies who create the problem finally cover the cost.

It’s almost laughable watching tech CEOs promise to “protect Americans” from the impact of skyrocketing electricity prices. These are the same companies that spend millions lobbying for left-wing energy policies and virtue-signal about caring for the environment, all while running energy-devouring data centers that make Al Gore blush. Hypocrisy at its best. For too long, they’ve gotten away with pretending the burden didn’t exist or that “someone else”—meaning you, the taxpayer—should deal with it.

What’s even richer is the sudden pledge from these powerful companies, only after being dragged to the White House and held to account. Liberals love lecturing us on fighting climate change, but never seem interested in actually making their donors in Techland pay for the mess. Now that someone with a spine is in the Oval Office, tech giants are scrambling to look responsible. About time! If only Democrats had this much backbone when their friends come calling with their hands out.

The bottom line is simple: Americans deserve better than to pay for Big Tech’s lavish lifestyle. These globalist companies owe this country more than empty words and greenwashed marketing. If Silicon Valley wants to run the world’s data, they can certainly pay their own power bills.
