It’s a disgusting display of dishonor, especially from the people we trust to fight for America’s values. The left loves to call out conservatives when they can, but they’re strangely silent when it comes to their own rotten apples. But here’s the truth—corruption and sleaze run deep in both parties, and we need real conservatives to stand up and demand better.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna isn’t afraid to call out the filth in her own backyard. She just dropped the hammer and introduced a censure resolution against Gonzales. That’s exactly the kind of backbone we need in the Republican Party—enough of the limp-wristed excuses. Conservatives have the guts to police their own while the Democrats give their perverts and creeps a free pass, time and time again. Just look at all the left-wing elites who get rich and powerful while covering up their dirty secrets.
Of course, the House Ethics Committee jumped in right away. But let’s not kid ourselves—how many times have these “ethics” panels been used as a political weapon instead of bringing real justice? The American people are fed up. They watch as Congress dishes out rules for the little guy and special treatment for themselves. The beltway crowd lives by one standard: anything goes, as long as you don’t get caught by the voters back home.
And let’s not ignore the bigger picture here. Every time a scandal like this explodes, globalists and open-borders elites try to distract from the real disasters facing our country. Inflation is out of control. Our border is wide open thanks to Biden’s failed leadership. Crime is rampant. Yet the same folks who enable destruction of the American dream keep lining their pockets and plotting their next power grab. How can anyone trust politicians who can’t even stay loyal to their families?
Decency is under attack, not just from the radical left but from within our own ranks. Conservatives need to clean house—for real—and send a message that personal responsibility, honesty, and loyalty actually matter. If Gonzales wants forgiveness, he can start by stepping aside and making room for leaders who love America more than their own egos. Or was honoring your marriage and your country just too much to ask in today’s Washington?
