Washington state lawmakers have done it again. The House just approved a $100 million cut to child care subsidies for working families. Only in the blue strongholds do we see this level of hypocrisy. Democrats love to talk about “helping working people,” but when push comes to shove, their priorities are clear: keep the money flowing to their pet projects and leave real American families out in the cold.
These child care subsidies were supposed to help parents who work or go to school. Instead, they’re being gutted while bureaucrats look the other way. The so-called champions of the middle class are pulling the rug out from under those just trying to make ends meet. Apparently, in Washington, talking about equity matters more than actually delivering on it.
Liberals love to paint themselves as saviors of the poor, always pushing for higher taxes and more government programs. Yet when it’s time to support real families, they cut first and ask questions later. If you’re a working mom or dad, you’re out of luck—unless you’re part of some special interest group or fit into a globalist agenda.
This isn’t just incompetence. It’s a slap in the face to everyone who still believes in the American dream. Hardworking parents depend on these subsidies to ensure their kids are safe while they work—something the elites in Olympia will never understand. They’re too busy dreaming up new ways to waste your tax dollars and pat themselves on the back for “progress.”
Washington state is showing its true colors. The radical left claims to care, but their actions say otherwise. Working families don’t need more empty promises—they need leaders who put them first. Maybe it’s time these so-called progressives explain why families always seem to finish last on their watch.
