You won’t believe how much money the Postal Service is losing again

Here we go again. The clunky, outdated U.S. Postal Service is crying poor—once more. The Postmaster General is out there sounding the alarm. He claims that if Congress doesn’t bail them out and lift their decades-old $15 billion borrowing cap, the mail will grind to a halt. We’re talking about an agency that can’t even make payroll or pay suppliers. By 2027, your mailman could be out of a job, and your mailbox will be empty.

And why? Because liberals love throwing money at broken systems instead of fixing them. The left has kept the Postal Service lumbering on life support for years. They never bother to make it efficient or hold anyone accountable. Private businesses have to compete and adapt or die. Meanwhile, government-run disasters like the Postal Service just keep burning through taxpayer cash, with zero results and no shame.

Remember, this isn’t some new shock. The warning signs have been there for years. Instead of modernizing, the USPS still acts like it’s the 1970s—slow, bloated, and wasteful. Yet every time they run dry, the liberals come running, cups in hand, begging for more of your money. The answer is always the same: just print more cash, lift the cap, and hope no one notices the incompetence.

It’s no surprise, really. The left never met a failed government program it didn’t defend, especially if it means more government control and less freedom for hardworking Americans. When private delivery companies do a better job, faster and cheaper, what’s the response from D.C. elites? Clamp down harder, spend more, and double down on failure. The American taxpayer is left picking up the pieces—again.

So here we are—another warning, another looming disaster, and the same useless “solutions.” When will politicians finally admit that government is the problem, not the answer? Maybe it’s time our leaders stopped treating the federal government like a piggy bank for outdated, broken programs. If the Postal Service can’t do its job, maybe it’s time for something new. Or are we all just supposed to sit quietly and watch the same circus repeat every single year?
