California is racing straight toward disaster, and Gavin Newsom is behind the wheel. The state’s so-called climate leadership is about one thing: choking the life out of California’s economy. Now Chevron—the backbone of American energy—has sounded the alarm. But will anyone in Sacramento listen? Not if they’re still drunk on the green Kool-Aid.
The California Air Resources Board, stuffed with environmental radicals, keeps pushing “cap-and-trade” schemes. They want strict caps on carbon at any cost, no matter how many jobs get destroyed. It’s not about realistic energy policy. It’s about pandering to eco-extremists and globalist elites. The working people? Forgotten, as usual.
Here’s the ugly truth the liberal media won’t tell you: California’s climate rules are pure fantasy. The only thing they’re capping is our prosperity. Newsom and his cronies want more regulations and higher costs for anyone who drives a car, heats a home, or runs a business. Meanwhile, energy producers like Chevron beg lawmakers to use common sense before the whole system collapses. But leftists would rather cripple the oil industry than admit their green dreams don’t work.
This isn’t just out-of-touch. It’s dangerous. When you threaten the companies that power our grid and keep our shelves stocked, everyone pays the price. Gas prices will soar. Groceries will cost more. Everyday Californians will end up footing the bill for the ruling class’s climate fantasies. How’s that for “progress”?
The hypocrisy is unbelievable. The same politicians attacking American energy companies are happy to import oil from countries with zero environmental standards. So much for saving the planet. This is about virtue-signaling, not solutions. They’ll cheer at climate summits, but it’s California families who suffer at the pump.
Here’s a thought for Newsom and his army of bureaucrats: If you cap everything, you’ll implode everything. Californians don’t want more pain at the gas station. They want leaders who actually care about their wallets, not just their party invites. When will the left stop kneecapping America’s energy future just to impress foreign billionaires and radical activists?
