It’s about time Washington remembered whose kids they’re supposed to protect. The Senate has finally moved to tighten the leash on Big Tech’s creepy grip on our children’s data. For decades, unelected Silicon Valley overlords have been hoarding personal information from kids under 13—turning childhood into a cash cow, all while liberals yawned in the halls of Congress. Now, nearly thirty years after the first law tried to keep kids safe online, the ruling class is acting like they’ve just discovered the internet.
Parents across America have been begging for real online safety, not endless excuses. But where were the Democrats when kids’ faces and private moments got gobbled up by billion-dollar tech giants? Busy handing out lectures about “inclusion” and “equity” while ignoring cyber predators and data miners—that’s where. Liberals happily let Google and Meta build their empires, but suddenly they care about privacy now that voters are furious. What a joke.
This new Senate bill talks tough and claims to strengthen protections for children online. It aims to stop Big Tech from collecting, sharing, and selling sensitive information about children without the parents’ say-so. Sounds good, right? But don’t forget—these are the same politicians who let Big Tech write their own rules for years, all in the name of “innovation.” Liberals used to whine about government overreach, but when it’s their billionaire buddies under threat, suddenly the people’s will gets ignored.
American families aren’t asking for endless regulations—they just want their kids to be safe from online vultures. But for too long, progressive policies have let foreign-owned apps sneak past the law and gather information straight from under our noses. The globalist left is quick to protect bureaucrats and Big Tech shareholders, but when it comes to young Americans, they always seem a step behind. It’s almost like they care more about politics than about protecting America’s future.
So what took so long? Maybe it’s because real security and family values never fit into the liberal agenda. Maybe it’s because they’d rather play footsie with Silicon Valley than face angry parents back home. Either way, don’t let them take a victory lap for fixing a problem they helped create. Only when Americans demand action—loudly and without apology—do these swamp dwellers finally pretend to listen. Will Congress ever put families ahead of the globalist elite? Or will our children keep paying the price for D.C. hypocrisy?
