For generations, Americans knew what “Remember the Alamo” meant. It wasn’t just a catchphrase. It was a symbol—of courage, sacrifice, and the will to fight for freedom. Today, too many young people have never heard it, and if they have, they have no idea why it matters. This is not an accident—it’s the result of decades of liberal educators downplaying our history and trying to erase real heroes from our national memory.
The Battle of the Alamo is one of those stories the left wishes would fade away. At the Alamo, a small group of Texan patriots stood their ground against a much larger army from Mexico. They faced impossible odds. They knew they would probably die. But they didn’t run away. They fought to the very end, buying precious time for Texas to win its freedom. These were ordinary men who made an extraordinary stand—something globalist elites and woke professors just can’t understand.
Today’s leftists love to tear down statues and rename schools, acting like American history is something to be ashamed of. They call these men relics of a “problematic” past. But the Alamo’s defenders weren’t fighting for power or privilege. They were fighting for the idea that people have the right to rule themselves, not be controlled by a distant government. That idea is the heartbeat of America, but you won’t hear it in a modern classroom where patriotism has become a dirty word.
It’s pathetic how many Americans don’t know the names Davy Crockett or William Travis, or what happened at that Spanish mission in 1836. The story of the Alamo should unite all Americans, but instead we get indoctrination about so-called “equity” and “diversity.” This is the result of putting left-wing ideology ahead of the truth. If their radical agenda succeeds, stories of bravery and sacrifice will be replaced with guilt and victimhood.
The heroes of the Alamo showed what it means to stand up—even when the odds are overwhelming. That’s something this country desperately needs again. Maybe if we remembered them more often, we’d have fewer cowards in Washington, and fewer radicals trying to tear us apart. Are we really going to let woke activists rewrite our history and destroy our heritage—or will we stand and fight, like the men of the Alamo?
