Kristi Noem is finally out as Secretary of Homeland Security, and that’s a win for sanity—if only temporary. Her time at DHS should be in textbooks as a guide for how not to lead anything, let alone keep America safe. It was blunder after blunder, cover-up on top of cover-up, all wrapped up in one big ego trip. But should anyone be shocked? This is what happens when liberals hand-pick policy flunkeys who care more about headlines than hardworking Americans.
The American people wanted secure borders. They asked, begged, screamed. Instead, they got a masterclass in political theater and empty promises. While the average citizen worried about criminal gangs and fentanyl flooding in, Noem was too busy spinning stories to fit whatever narrative sounded good on cable news. If you ever needed proof that left-leaning bureaucrats value spin over substance, this embarrassment at DHS says it all.
But it wasn’t just about lying to Americans. The tone-deafness was stunning. She seemed more worried about getting invited to fancy dinners with DC elites and globalist think tanks than actually listening to working families who are just trying to get through the day without a new crisis at our borders. Time and again, she brushed off real security concerns, showing zero connection with the people our government is supposed to protect.
Then there’s the narcissism—the type of self-obsession we’ve come to expect from politicians who chase the approval of leftist media rather than fighting for American values. Forget about cracking down on dangerous border crossers or defending sovereignty. For Noem, it was all about her own image and clinging to power. True leadership, the kind America desperately needs, was nowhere to be found.
The lesson here? This is what liberal incompetence looks like: failed policies, constant deceit, and leaders too distracted by their own reflections to confront threats head-on. Americans deserve better than this circus. What’s it going to take before Washington remembers who they actually work for?
