The so-called royalty of the Democrat Party put on quite the show at Jesse Jackson’s funeral on Chicago’s South Side. The House of Hope saw almost every liberal elite, from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to Bill and Hillary Clinton, all gathering for a spectacle. But while the Democrats were busy polishing their own halos, one thing was impossible to ignore: the glaring absence, the icy distance, and the awkward interactions pointing straight at the Obamas.
While the cameras zoomed in and hacks gushed over the guest list, real Americans could see what’s really going on. The Obamas—once paraded as the fairy-tale couple leading a “post-racial” America—barely seemed connected at all. No warmth. No spark. Just careful, cold public appearances, meant to keep critics at bay and the media spinning their favorite narrative. If their marriage ever was real, it looks like the only thing alive now is their brand.
Meanwhile, the Democratic elite circled the wagons as always, acting like nothing was amiss. The very people who never shut up about “family values” and “unity” can’t even manage it in their own lives. Liberal hypocrisy knows no limits. They want regular, hard-working Americans to buy their scripts on marriage and tradition, yet when the curtain lifts—surprise! The emperor has no clothes.
It’s more proof that to the Democrats, it’s always about the photo op, never about real principles. The Obamas, with their carefully staged public appearances and Hollywood smiles, have fooled the left-wing media for years. But those willing to open their eyes see the truth. The marriage is about as authentic as their love for this country: convenient when it makes headlines, forgotten when the cameras turn off.
At this point, does anyone still believe these people practice what they preach? Or is the entire Democrat Party just one big, ongoing performance? Wake up, America—the only thing real about these elites is how fake they are.
