It’s National Cereal Day, but don’t expect this conservative to celebrate with a side of the NBA. Once upon a time, basketball was about talent, grit, and jaw-dropping competition. Now? The NBA feels like one big lecture from overpaid millionaires who would rather virtue-signal than focus on the game. Fans know it. America knows it. The NBA would rather push woke nonsense than patriotic pride.
Just take a look at the league’s latest priorities. Are team owners talking about inspiring the next generation? Are players thanking the country that lets them cash million-dollar checks for tossing a ball? Nope. Instead, we get endless pandering to foreign markets, flashy social justice slogans, and anti-police rhetoric plastered everywhere. No wonder stadiums are half-empty and TV ratings keep tanking. The league’s not even hiding its contempt for average American fans.
Liberals jump for joy as the NBA preaches to the choir, ignoring all the hard-working people in flyover country who made the sport popular in the first place. The hypocrisy borders on comedy: multi-millionaires whining about “oppression” while bowing to communist China for a bigger paycheck. Funny how quick they are to bend a knee for Beijing, but can’t be bothered to celebrate our own flag.
Call it “inclusivity” or “social progress” if you want. The rest of us see what’s really happening. The NBA has become another loudspeaker for globalist, left-wing interests. The league rails against America’s history on one hand and cashes Chinese checks with the other. Meanwhile, real patriots are left shaking their heads and changing the channel.
So, on National Cereal Day, pass the milk—but hold the NBA. Americans want their sports back, without the virtue-signaling sideshow. Why watch millionaires dunk on our values when you can pour yourself another bowl and cheer for a country that still means something? Maybe the real question is, how many more fans will the NBA lose before it finally wakes up?
