Lebanon finally stands up to Hezbollah after decades of chaos and fear

For over 35 years, Hezbollah has operated like an outlaw gang in Lebanon, waving its guns in the faces of both its own people and the rest of the world. It’s about time the Lebanese government finally decided to do something real about it. Any sane person would wonder what took them so long. The truth is, weak leadership and constant interference from globalists have let this terrorist group run wild—arming itself to the teeth, hiding behind so-called “social services,” and cowing the entire nation into silence.

Let’s not kid ourselves. Hezbollah isn’t some misunderstood charity organization. It’s a terror machine propped up by Iran with one goal: wage endless war against Israel and destabilize anyone who stands in their way, especially the U.S. Yet, for decades, liberals and international elites pretended it was too complicated to disarm them. “Oh no,” they fretted, “it might hurt their feelings—or disrupt their soup kitchens.” Meanwhile, rockets poured across borders and families lived in fear.

Lebanon’s government finally grew a backbone and ordered Hezbollah to turn over its weapons. Of course, it’s a long shot—Hezbollah doesn’t answer to democracy, only to Tehran. But at least it’s a step. Maybe, just maybe, Lebanon realized that coddling terrorists only brings more chaos. Funny how the left never learns this lesson. It’s always endless patience for thugs who hate America, but brutal crackdowns on law-abiding citizens at home.

Liberals here in the West would rather blame America or Israel for “provoking” violence, instead of shining a light on groups like Hezbollah that thrive on terror and intimidation. These so-called experts wring their hands over “nuance” while innocent people pay the price. Newsflash: You can’t negotiate with bullies who think God gave them the right to rule with an iron fist.

The Lebanese move to disarm Hezbollah is decades late. The world would be a lot safer if more governments grew tired of the globalist hand-wringing and started actually standing up to terrorism. Instead, we’re supposed to sit and watch as more radical groups arm themselves under the guise of “resistance.” Maybe Washington should pay attention—appeasing our enemies only makes them stronger. Isn’t it time we stopped playing nice with people who would destroy every freedom we hold dear?
