America’s veterans are in crisis, and the so-called “leaders” in Washington are asleep at the wheel. Year after year, politicians pour millions—billions!—into bloated VA programs and fancy studies, but our veterans keep dying by their own hand. The latest numbers are heartbreaking and infuriating: the suicide rate among veterans reached 35.2 for every 100,000 in 2023. That’s higher than last year and way higher than what’s acceptable in any decent country. All the talk, all the spending, and yet the pain just gets worse.
This isn’t just another sad statistic. These are men and women who put everything on the line for this country—signing up to defend freedom, not to be left behind. Liberals in Congress love to lecture about “supporting the troops,” but when veterans need real help, D.C. gets lost in red tape and empty speeches. Progressives demand open borders, send billions to Ukraine, and fund ridiculous pet projects, but can’t even make sure that the people who wore the uniform are safe at home.
The left pushes for “diversity” training and gender studies in the VA instead of tackling the real problems. They waste our tax dollars, pat themselves on the back, and ignore the desperate reality veterans face every day. All the while, the suicide rate keeps climbing. Where’s the accountability? Where’s the urgency? Anyone with basic common sense knows throwing money into the bureaucratic fire won’t fix broken policies.
Our troops deserve better. They earned real resources, not incompetent managers and political games. Conservative solutions mean empowering families, bringing God back into the conversation, and actually giving our veterans the mental health support they need—without the federal circus standing in the way.
Ask yourself: if the government can’t protect the very people who protect us, what’s the point of all their promises? How many more have to die before liberals trade their slogans for action?
