Mayor Mamdani’s City Spirals as Wife’s Social Media Sparks Outrage

Mayor Zohran Mamdani barely had a chance to fumble through the basics of city management before his administration was hit by another mess. The city’s been stuck in a rut since he took the reins—plowing failures, trash piling up, a mayor who’d rather pose for cameras than listen to frustrated New Yorkers. Now, thanks to his wife Rama Duwaji’s reckless antics on social media around the October 7 claims, things have gone from bad to worse.

This fiasco didn’t happen in a vacuum. City Hall’s cold detachment has been obvious, and residents are fed up with bureaucrats too distracted by politics to shovel a sidewalk or keep streets clean. It’s insult on top of injury when the mayor’s own household seems more obsessed with causing outrage online than with the daily struggles facing regular families.

Liberals love to lecture the public about decency and “accountability,” but when one of their own ends up exposed, they suddenly find plenty of excuses. The left wants everyone to ignore the mayor’s failures and his wife’s inflammatory online behavior—pretending like it’s some harmless internet noise. Regular people aren’t buying it. They’re tired of politicians soaring above consequences that would land any average person in major trouble.

It’s become fashionable on the left to stir controversy with reckless words and then play victim when people react with outrage. Instead of focusing on their actual jobs—cleaning up the city, providing basic services—the Mamdani bunch acts like internet stardom is more important than keeping neighborhoods safe and streets clear of filth. Globalist elites have always preferred flashy headlines and divisive antics over real solutions. This is just the latest example.

Maybe the mayor and his wife should stop performing for their activist pals and start acting like they care about the hardworking people of New York City. Or is it just too much to ask for a city leader who puts ordinary folks first, not their own political agenda and social media clout? New Yorkers deserve better than this sideshow.
