The attack in New York City is just the latest example of what happens when weak liberal policies and political correctness run wild. Christian protesters, exercising their constitutional right to speak out, became the targets of real, violent hatred—a homemade bomb, hurled at them by an 18-year-old screaming words that most “progressives” love to pretend aren’t tied to terrorism in the West. Authorities confirmed what everyone with common sense already suspected: this was an act of violence by an individual radicalized by anti-American, anti-Christian sentiment.
It’s jaw-dropping how the same folks who clutch their pearls about “words being violence” are now tripping over themselves to downplay an actual bomb. America’s so-called elites bend over backward to scold patriotic Americans for thought crimes, but when Christian citizens are literally attacked on the streets of our own cities, there’s a deafening silence. Terrorist sympathizers work overtime trying to convince us this wasn’t what our own eyes and ears tell us it is—a hateful attack on people of faith.
Instead of taking decisive action against radical elements, New York’s leftist leaders seem more interested in covering up for them. Where’s the outrage from the media when Christians are the victims? Don’t hold your breath waiting for a candlelight vigil in Times Square. The left is too busy blaming America, undermining the police, and importing more problems from places where “Allahu Akbar” doesn’t mean peace and goodwill.
Maybe if these Christian protesters were waving rainbow flags, burning the American flag, or chanting “Death to America,” the attack would get wall-to-wall coverage and the full sympathy of the press and politicians. But because they stand strong for their faith and aren’t afraid to criticize the real threats to our freedom, the left simply looks the other way. That’s the ugly truth of today’s upside-down priorities: criminals get kid-glove treatment, while law-abiding Americans get tossed under the bus.
The cowardly attack on these Christian protesters is a wake-up call, but don’t expect the liberal establishment to answer it. They’re too busy policing pronouns to care about policing terrorists. How many more times do Americans have to become targets before woke politicians decide to protect actual citizens instead of apologizing to globalist interests? Or is patriotism, Christianity, and free speech just too inconvenient for their twisted agenda?
