Iran’s New Supreme Leader Is a Dictator’s Son and Liberals Are Letting It Happen

Iran just handed the keys to their theocratic regime straight to the son of the old dictator. That’s right: Mojtaba Khamenei has taken over as Supreme Leader, following in his father’s shadowy, brutal footsteps. This is what passes for “progress” in the Islamic Republic—a monarchy disguised as a revolution, where power only changes hands if it stays in the same family. Forget the voices of the Iranian people. Forget free elections or basic liberty. All that matters to these tyrants is clinging to power, no matter how many people have to suffer to keep their radical dreams alive.

Of course, liberals and globalists will wring their hands and pretend this is “complicated.” They’ll jump through hoops to explain away the rise of yet another hardline dictator, all while ignoring the suffering of real people under Iran’s brutal regime. The Biden administration—or any leftist mouthpieces in the media—won’t dare stand up to the mullahs in Tehran. They’d rather negotiate behind closed doors, cutting deals with terrorists and ignoring American security in the name of “diplomacy.” They call it “engagement.” Most Americans call it weakness.

But President Trump sees right through the charade. He’s made it clear that any so-called leader who doesn’t have the blessing of the United States is going to find himself in hot water. Trump understands American strength. He knows dictators respect force, not fancy words. The message is simple: the U.S. isn’t about to let a dynastic thug in Tehran threaten our national interests, destabilize the region, or embolden terrorists under the guise of “succession.” The era of American appeasement is over—at least, as long as real leadership is in the White House.

The establishment in Washington, the same crowd that’s always preached to us about “democracy,” will try to distract you with talk of negotiation and compromise. Don’t buy it. These elitists don’t care about actual freedom or American safety. They’re too busy chasing Nobel Prizes and photo ops to challenge violent regimes around the globe. Meanwhile, the people of Iran are left under the boot of another Khamenei, and the world edges closer to chaos.

Is this the future liberals want—for America, for the Middle East, for freedom itself? Handing the world over to dictators’ children while we stand on the sidelines? Americans are sick and tired of weakness masquerading as wisdom. It’s time to remind the world that only American strength keeps tyranny in check.
