Once again, the Democrats are wringing their hands over tough action against America’s enemies. This time, Senator Tim Kaine is clutching his pearls on national television, whining about “unnecessary risk” for our troops because President Trump actually stood up to Iran. Liberals never miss a chance to play armchair generals and pretend that the best way to keep our troops safe is to do absolutely nothing in the face of real danger. It’s the same tired routine—coddle our adversaries, blame our leaders, and hope the American people forget who left us vulnerable in the first place.
Kaine and his friends are more worried about upsetting the globalist status quo than about defending American lives. Where was this concern for “safety” when the Obama-Biden crew sent pallets of cash to Iran, the world’s leading sponsor of terror? Somehow, putting our soldiers in harm’s way was acceptable when it was for reckless deals that helped fund America’s enemies. Now, when a president actually puts America first and shows strength, suddenly the left cares about “risk.”
The truth is, the world doesn’t respect weakness. Our troops face danger not because of strong action, but because we spent years letting dictators and terrorists walk all over us. Every time America draws a line and means it, our military is safer in the long run. It sends a message: attack Americans, and you will pay a price. Hand-wringing and apologies never stopped a rocket or protected a soldier on patrol.
Of course, it’s not really about the troops. It’s about politics. The Democrat playbook is simple: bash Trump, no matter what. If he keeps Americans safe, they find a way to twist it into a problem. It’s easy for politicians like Kaine to sit in their ivory towers and trade blame instead of standing up to terror and lawlessness. Maybe if Democrats spent less time grandstanding on TV and more on supporting our military, the world would be a safer place.
America needs leaders who act, not politicians who cave to international bullies. Kaine’s brand of weakness is exactly what got us into these messes in the first place. Why does the left work harder to attack their own president than the people who threaten our troops? Only the Democrats could twist decisive American action into a crisis. Maybe they’re just allergic to winning.
