Over the weekend, New York City almost saw another terrorist bloodbath, but this time the mainstream media could hardly be bothered. Two ISIS-inspired radicals, young men with names straight out of the Middle East, tossed a nail-packed bomb into a crowd of anti-Muslim protesters. If their homemade device had worked as intended, it would have been a massacre. But instead of outrage, we get lecture after lecture from New York’s reckless mayor, Zohran Mamdani, who can’t even say the word “Islamist.” Instead, he tries to point the finger at “white supremacy.” That’s right—according to Mamdani, it’s the white guys who shout “Allahu Akbar” while throwing bombs. You can’t make this stuff up.
The left-wing press came rushing to Mamdani’s defense, spinning fairy tales that he himself was targeted. The perpetrators, meanwhile, have clear Islamic ties and terror linkages. Funny how the media always finds a way to avoid mentioning the uncomfortable facts: these weren’t random attackers, and they definitely weren’t disaffected teenagers expressing themselves. These were would-be killers, allegedly fueled by ISIS propaganda, operating right in one of America’s biggest cities.
Don’t forget, this isn’t just about Mamdani’s cowardice. There’s a reason so many of these radicalized criminals roam the streets freely. For years, progressive politicians and their friends in D.C. have gutted law enforcement, loosened the borders, and welcomed in anyone who claims asylum—never mind how thoroughly, or not at all, they’re vetted. It’s no surprise that these terrorists—like the ones in Austin and now in New York—keep slipping through. How many more have we allowed in, encouraged by leftist talking points and open-door policies? How much more are Americans supposed to tolerate before someone from the left admits that their own policies are putting us in jeopardy?
While the bodies stack up from Islamist attacks, Mamdani and his crowd are more concerned about political correctness than public safety. Even his own household reeks of anti-American sentiment. His wife’s social media “likes” celebrate terrorist attacks against Israel, and yet reporters are nowhere to be found. Compare that to how conservative wives are treated. Let a conservative’s spouse post about a patriotic flag, and suddenly every Republican is grilled for days about their spouse’s “dangerous rhetoric.” But when it comes to Democrats and Islamists, everyone looks the other way. Makes you wonder who’s really running things in Mamdani’s house—and in City Hall.
Let’s stop pretending the real threat in America is a bunch of so-called “white supremacists” hiding under every bed. The actual threat is being imported by the open-borders left and protected by cowardly politicians who refuse to even call terror what it is. Mamdani won’t say a word about ISIS-loving bombers in his own backyard. What else won’t he condemn—until it’s too late?
