California Republican Jumps Ship Blames Gerrymandering Critics Say He Just Couldn’t Take the Heat

California’s political circus just got another act. Congressman Kevin Kiley is jumping off the GOP ship to call himself an “independent.” He blames—get this—gerrymandering. You’d almost think he just discovered politics isn’t fair, as if the DNC hasn’t been redrawing lines to their own advantage for decades.

It’s laughable watching another career politician posing as the victim. Liberals have been working overtime to rig the game for years. Who draws the most absurd, twisting districts that cut up neighborhoods, separate communities, and split up conservative voters? It sure isn’t the folks waving the American flag. It’s the left—the party that only loves “democracy” when they can bend it to their will.

Kiley claims he’s sick of the “games.” But let’s be honest: real conservatives need fighters, not fence-sitters. The radical left is out there rewriting the rules, chasing power, and attacking anyone who stands up to their agenda. And instead of putting up a fight, Kiley folds—opting to sit in the mushy middle while Democrats bulldoze our country.

He says he can’t stand gerrymandering, but somehow his outrage didn’t boil over until now. Funny how politicians only develop a conscience when the map lines don’t work out for them. When it helps Democrats, it’s “reform.” When it hurts their chances, suddenly it’s a crisis. That’s liberal hypocrisy at its finest.

The American people don’t want more politicians running from the fight—they want leaders who will speak up, dig in, and defend our Republic. If every conservative threw up their hands when the system got rigged, we’d have handed the country over long ago. Maybe the real question for Kiley is, if you’re not in the battle, whose side are you on?
