Texas is the heart of American oil and gas. Families have worked this land for generations. Yet, shockingly, politicians now want to rip that up to build massive 200-foot high power lines for so-called “green” energy. This is the latest scheme being shoved down our throats by liberal elites who preach about saving the planet, while trampling the rights of hard-working Texans.
These aren’t just power lines—they’re giant scars across private ranches and farms, handed over to help wind and solar companies who wouldn’t survive in a real free market. Local landowners are being threatened with eminent domain. Imagine that: In Texas of all places, government bureaucrats are telling people they might lose their own property because the climate change lobby wants to play pretend cowboy with our grid.
Isn’t it rich—the state that became great thanks to oil and gas is now being forced to bow to the altar of unreliable “renewables.” The same leftists who bash fossil fuels are happy to bulldoze family land and throw Texas tradition out the window, all for some green energy fantasy that keeps failing every time there’s a hard freeze or scorching summer.
It’s globalism at its worst. Foreign interests and out-of-touch activists get cozy deals. Texans get empty promises, looming towers, and a reminder that, these days, private property rights don’t mean a thing if you stand in the way of the green agenda.
How long are we going to let these hypocrites push us around? Texas survived and thrived by doing things the American way. Forcing ranchers to give up their land to prop up weak industries isn’t freedom, it’s lunacy. Are we going to stand up for Texas, or let the climate crazies roll right over us?
