What on earth is going on at New York’s City Hall? The mayor has just rolled out the red carpet for one of the loudest anti-Israel activists in the country, inviting them to the mayor’s official home, Gracie Mansion. This wasn’t just a petty photo-op—it happened just days after outrageous praise for the October 7th atrocities against Israel began making headlines. The radical left is so obsessed with signaling their so-called “solidarity” that they don’t even care who they’re really welcoming.
Only in leftist-controlled New York does a person connected to anti-Israel protests get a personal welcome from the top city leader. This activist isn’t some innocent bystander. This is someone at the core of a movement that’s turned a blind eye—or even cheered—when terrorists target ordinary Israelis. Is this what liberal “inclusivity” looks like now? Giving extremists the keys to the mayor’s mansion right after innocent people were brutally attacked?
Let’s be real: This is typical Democrat hypocrisy. Progressive politicians claim to stand for tolerance and peace. But they don’t blink before cozying up to activists who have nothing but hatred for Israel and America’s closest allies. The same leaders who clutch their pearls over conservative speech are quick to give a platform to radicals who excuse—or even celebrate—acts of pure terror. This isn’t “solidarity”—it’s embarrassment. Worse, it’s dangerous.
The globalist left loves to wag their fingers at conservatives, accusing us of “hate” or “intolerance” anytime we protect our values. Yet these same liberals have no problem giving extremists a seat at the table—literally! If you hate Israel, you’re welcome at Gracie Mansion, but if you love America and want a secure border, you’d better not say it out loud in New York City. Apparently, defending terrorism is less offensive to these officials than defending Western civilization.
This shameless move telegraphs weakness to our friends and enemies alike. Liberals want to run the world, but they can’t even run a mayor’s mansion without embarrassing the nation. Why is it that, in today’s Democrat-run cities, those who attack traditional values get invited in and treated like heroes, while regular Americans are left out in the cold? Maybe next time, the mayor can just hang a welcome sign for every anti-American activist who wanders by. America deserves better.
