Democrats in Congress are once again blocking the will of the American people. The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act—the SAVE Act—should be a slam dunk. All it asks is that people prove they are who they say they are before voting. In any normal country, that’s just common sense. Yet, the left wants open borders, endless chaos, and a voting system ripe for fraud.
The House passed the SAVE Act way back in February. What did Democrats do? They immediately threw up roadblocks in the Senate. Why? Because liberals know their power depends on a broken system. They need non-citizens, dead voters, and anybody else who can help them cling to power. If Americans demanded ID at the polls, Democrats would lose their edge overnight.
Now, Senate Majority Leader Thune is refusing to “nuke” the filibuster for this law. He says we should keep the filibuster as is, supposedly to protect Senate tradition. But whose side is he really on? The American people want secure elections, not D.C. gridlock and weak-kneed leadership. Every day they stall, America’s elections grow less trustworthy.
Let’s be honest—it’s the globalist Democrats and their media cronies who want confusion at the ballot box. They never met a border they didn’t want to erase, or a voting rule they didn’t want to break. Honest citizens get lectured and harassed, while illegal voters get a red-carpet welcome from the left. The double standard is disgusting.
Why are we letting radical leftists hold our democracy hostage? Why would any real leader let America slide into banana republic territory just to appease the open-borders mob? It’s time for lawmakers to wake up, stop catering to liberal incompetence, and demand proof of citizenship at the ballot box—period. If we don’t fight for election integrity now, do we even deserve to call ourselves a free nation?
