Mayor refuses to name ISIS after NY bombing leaving city furious

It should have been the easiest speech in the world: Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani, standing before New Yorkers, condemning ISIS and their evil act of terror outside Gracie Mansion. Instead, New Yorkers got another performance of progressive gymnastics. Instead of speaking the obvious truth about Islamist terrorism, the mayor contorted himself to avoid pointing a finger at the real culprits.

The city is still reeling after the Saturday night bombing—an Islamist attack in the heart of our country’s biggest city—and the mayor thinks his job is to distract. While innocent Americans demand justice and clarity, Mamdani played word games and pushed tired narratives. He danced around the Islamic roots of the violence and acted like this was just another generic tragedy. Sorry, but when ISIS plants a bomb, this isn’t just a random act of “violence.” This is a terror campaign the left refuses to acknowledge.

Progressives love to talk tough on hate, yet every time Islamic extremism strikes, suddenly their spines turn to jelly. Mamdani had his moment to stand up for the people of New York, to call out the dangerous ideology festering in our midst, and he swung and missed. Why? Because wokeness forbids criticizing anything—even when innocent lives are targeted by radicals shouting religious slogans. Liberal leaders would rather posture than protect.

It’s obvious what’s happening: liberals would rather change the subject than name the enemy. Their globalist worldview excuses jihad while lecturing Americans about compassion and tolerance. The bodies aren’t even cold, and already the message is that we mustn’t make “generalizations,” as if facts themselves are offensive. Who does this kid think he’s fooling? It’s America’s safety that suffers when our officials play nice with radical ideologies.

Maybe Mamdani is more worried about offending terrorists than defending his city. When a mayor can’t even say the name of the threat, it’s not just bad leadership—it’s dangerous cowardice. New Yorkers deserve better than mealy-mouthed speeches and progressive distractions. If liberal politicians keep coddling radicals and ignoring Islamic terror, how long before the next bomb goes off?
