Democrat Senators just never miss a chance to show how little they care about the average American worker. Take Hawaii’s Brian Schatz, for instance. This guy is ice cold — literally, he’s calmly watching as TSA agents and Coast Guard families go without pay, all because he’s playing games with funding for the Department of Homeland Security. Does he flinch at the thought of working families missing paychecks? Not a bit. He’s “serene” — that’s what they call it now when politicians toss aside the needs of the people for their own political ladder climbs.
Schatz isn’t some backbencher, either. He’s been scheming to become the next Democrat Minority Whip, waiting for Dick Durbin to hang up his hat. And with how desperate he is for a promotion, there’s no doubt he’d trample anyone, even Chuck Schumer, just to grab a little more power. Liberals always talk about taking care of folks, but behind the fancy speeches, it’s all about maneuvering for the next job. It’s like a soap opera—except instead of fictional drama, it’s real Americans paying the price.
Meanwhile, the liberal media gossips about Schatz’s “inner circle” like it matters to actual people who just want to get on a plane or feel safe in their own country. But while they’re busy swooning over insider politics, the TSA and Coast Guard workers are losing sleep over bills. That’s the reality the left refuses to face. Fancy Washington dinners matter more to them than the security of our homeland or working-class families.
The left keeps proving their priorities. They would rather hold America hostage than do the right thing. They will let real-life heroes—the ones who keep our skies and coastlines safe—go unpaid just to score points in their power games. Globalist interests? Sure, if it means getting one step closer to running the show, Democrats will march right over America’s frontline workers and not lose a wink of sleep.
Brian Schatz’s so-called “serenity” isn’t leadership. It’s cold-hearted negligence. When will these liberals learn that Americans are sick of their arrogance and excuses? The next time they face voters, maybe they’ll finally realize that putting themselves first—and our safety last—comes at a price. Or is ignoring the people just business as usual for Democrats?
