This program, sold as a stop-gap for people fleeing chaos, was never meant to last forever. But leave it up to liberal bureaucrats to turn “temporary” into “permanent,” dragging out handouts and loopholes for years.
This isn’t the first time the Biden administration has tried to play immigration games either. Just last month, they asked the Supreme Court for permission to cancel the same open-ended protections for Syrians. Predictably, the left rushed to defend endless extensions, acting as if enforcing our laws is cruel or heartless. Meanwhile, American citizens keep footing the bill and watching their communities change before their eyes.
The real story here is that Democrats love to talk about fairness and compassion—but only when it lets them pander for votes or keep the borders wide open for globalist interests. Where is the compassion for the American workers losing jobs? Where is the concern for our strained schools and hospitals? Liberal leaders refuse to answer these questions because facing reality doesn’t fit their twisted narrative.
The Supreme Court holds the power now, but the pressure from the usual activist groups is already cranking up. These self-proclaimed defenders of “immigrants’ rights” never seem to care about citizens’ rights. They cry about so-called “racism” every time someone demands secure borders or basic accountability, but they’re silent when American families struggle to make ends meet in their own country.
At the end of the day, Americans deserve leaders who protect them instead of bending over backward for every sob story that comes across the border. Maybe if Democrats spent half as much time working for the people who actually live here legally, our country wouldn’t be in this mess. How long will we let radical policies put America last?
