Biden releases 400 million barrels as Iran taunts and Americans wonder if gas will ever be affordable

Once again, the so-called “global experts” are scrambling to clean up the mess politicians made in the first place. This time, it’s the International Energy Agency’s grand gesture: unleashing a whopping 400 million barrels from emergency oil reserves. The world is supposed to clap for this masterstroke while everyday Americans wonder if they can even afford a tank of gas this week.

Let’s be clear—this isn’t just about economics. It’s about leadership. Or, more accurately, the total lack of it among the Western elite. Washington sits back and waits for a crisis before finally dipping into the emergency oil, all while Iran laughs and threatens to send oil prices soaring past $200 a barrel by flexing its muscle in the Strait of Hormuz. The so-called best and brightest who were supposed to secure our energy are now just shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

Everyone knows the numbers: 20 million barrels of oil flow through Hormuz daily. Releasing 400 million barrels sounds huge, but it only covers a short period. After that? Back to square one. It’s a desperate band-aid while the Biden administration, obsessed with green fantasies and lecturing middle America about climate, keeps shutting down U.S. energy production at home.

The left is always ready to talk solidarity—“global action,” “shared sacrifice,” all their favorite buzzwords. But when the world’s most dangerous regimes threaten our economy and security, their answer is always the same: go begging to international bureaucrats and hope for the best. Meanwhile, Americans get stuck with higher costs, all because liberals would rather please world leaders than unleash American energy.

Where’s the real action? Under President Trump, there was zero tolerance for Iran’s aggression and America didn’t have to beg anyone for oil. That’s the difference true leadership makes. What we’re seeing now is weakness, pure and simple. Maybe it’s time to stop listening to globalists and get back to putting America first. Or do Democrats prefer to keep begging foreign adversaries for cheaper gas?
