New York’s own Governor Hochul just tried to hype up the so-called “deep bench” of Democrat governors who might run for president in 2028. But if you take a closer look, that so-called bench is looking more like folding chairs from a yard sale—cheap, unsteady, and ready to buckle.

Hochul couldn’t even pretend to be excited about Vice President Kamala Harris possibly running. She barely gave Harris a nod, instead shoving the spotlight toward the group of liberal governors running blue states into the ground. If Harris is really the Democrats’ first pick, why is Hochul desperate to talk up backup plans? The answer is simple: even Democrats know Kamala is a train wreck. She’s fumbled every job she’s touched, from the border disaster to her awkward, cringeworthy speeches that never hit home with everyday Americans.

Let’s look at these so-called “rising stars” in the Democrat Party. These are the same governors who kept their states locked down, wrecked small businesses, and forced people out of work over senseless COVID rules. Now, liberals want to pretend these same policymakers should run the whole country? America just watched these governors cave to woke mobs and push anti-American garbage like critical race theory and drag shows in elementary schools. That’s the “deep bench?” More like a sinking ship.

Even Hochul knows her own party is lost. She isn’t excited about anyone—because the Democrat Party is crumbling from within. Instead of building up real leaders who love this country, Democrats keep serving globalist, anti-freedom nonsense. Their answer is always another out-of-touch career politician who thinks America’s best days are behind us and wants to hand more power to Washington, D.C.

The American people are smarter than these elitists think. Voters see right through this weak attempt to rebrand the failures of the last few years. Maybe next time, Democrats will realize Americans want leaders who actually put our country first—not another parade of the same old clowns in different costumes.
