Every time Americans start waking up to the abuses of our federal agencies, the so-called “intelligence experts” come out in force, begging Congress for more unchecked power. Now, the top bosses at the FBI and CIA—Kash Patel and John Ratcliffe—are demanding that Republican senators reauthorize a surveillance law without any real reforms. If we let them get their way, we’re handing our privacy—and our freedom—right back to the same bureaucrats who’ve abused it for years.
Let’s not forget, these are the same agencies that have been caught weaponizing their power against regular citizens, conservatives, and even a sitting president. Now they want their spy tools rubber-stamped with no guardrails? That’s exactly what globalists and left-wing elites want—endless snooping with zero accountability. Why should we trust the people who already crossed the line to police themselves?
These intelligence chiefs pretend it’s all about keeping us “safe,” but real patriots know that safety doesn’t mean surrendering our rights. The FBI and CIA have a long history of overreach, all under the excuse of national security. Meanwhile, the left shrugs or even cheers when Big Brother goes after their political enemies. The hypocrisy is off the charts: liberals cry about privacy rights, but look the other way when their deep-state buddies squeeze our freedoms.
Republican lawmakers have a duty—to the Constitution and the American people—not to bow to pressure from unelected bureaucrats. Any surveillance law should put Americans first and stop these agencies from spying without cause. Ignoring past abuses and giving a blank check to the feds is plain reckless. The swamp always wants more power; it’s on conservatives to stand up and say enough is enough.
Are we really going to let the same crowd that targeted parents and churchgoers rewrite the rules on spying? Or will Republicans finally slam the brakes on this runaway surveillance state? Weakness is what the radical left expects. The only question left is—will the GOP deliver?
