Allegheny County just threw open its doors to illegal immigrants and all but slammed them in the faces of law enforcement. Local officials decided to ban cooperation with ICE entirely. They’re now telling their police to look the other way—ignore ICE detainers, keep quiet, and even refuse to enforce federal immigration laws. This is a massive gift-wrapped invitation for criminals to settle in, all while public safety takes a dive.
It’s the classic playbook of the Left: shielding illegals and putting them ahead of law-abiding Americans every single time. Democrats on the council were actually weeping over lawbreakers getting deported. Talk about misplaced priorities. One radical on the council went a step further and actually called for ICE agents themselves to be arrested. Yes, you read that right—he wants the men and women who keep our communities safe to end up behind bars. The inmates are running the asylum.
But this is what’s really disgusting: Democrats keep pretending this is about “compassion,” fanning the flames with dramatic language—likening ICE to fascists or secret police. How about showing some compassion to the American citizens who are victimized by people who should have never been here in the first place? When did law enforcement become the villains, and illegal aliens the heroes? Only in upside-down, far-left America.
This isn’t some fringe stunt; this is now the law in a major American county. Don’t forget, Governor Josh Shapiro is eyeing a run for president in just a few years. Would the rest of the country want Shapiro’s weak-on-crime, pro-illegal vision running the nation? The Democrats have handed Republicans the perfect example of what open borders really look like: chaos, coddling criminals, and putting Americans in danger.
Congress needs to wake up and stop this nonsense. Making our country a safe haven for criminals isn’t “progress”—it’s national suicide. Why is Allegheny County protecting illegal aliens over its own taxpaying citizens? Maybe it’s time for ICE to put this county at the top of its priority list. How much longer are Americans supposed to put up with this betrayal?
