San Francisco never learns. The city’s leaders seem obsessed with throwing taxpayer money at the latest liberal fad, all while ignoring the disaster in their own backyard. Now, Mayor Daniel Lurie is back at it—bringing back a so-called “reparations” program that’s caused nothing but chaos and waste.
This “quiet” revival isn’t a solution. It’s a prime example of how far the left will go to push their broken agenda, even as streets buckle under crime, drugs, and homelessness. Politicians like Lurie want you to believe these handouts are about justice, but all they do is breed more division and resentment. Where’s the help for families who work hard and play by the rules, only to see their cash funneled into programs that reward political allies?
Even worse, this program was already marred by scandal and mismanagement. What happened to accountability? San Francisco can’t fix a pothole or stop smash-and-grab robberies, yet its leaders think they’re qualified to make up for “historical wrongs” with a blank check. That’s not justice—that’s reckless spending, plain and simple. The far-left keeps proving they care more about virtue signaling and headlines than real results.
Let’s be honest. Programs like this aren’t about healing the country. They’re about control. They tell everyday Americans to sit down, shut up, and fork over more of their hard-earned money. Instead of lifting everyone up, these schemes tear us apart and distract from the city’s real problems—crumbling schools, dead businesses, a sprawling homeless crisis.
Only in a city run by radical elites would incompetence be rewarded with a second chance. San Francisco’s latest stunt isn’t progress—it’s willful destruction. Maybe next time, they should try fixing the mess they’ve already made before chasing utopian fantasies. Or is the endless failure the point?
