The so-called progressive utopia just chased off Howard Schultz, the very man who made Starbucks a global powerhouse. Schultz built 33,833 stores from the ground up—now he’s packing his bags for Miami, where common sense (and freedom) still matter.
Democrat policies always claim they’re about “fairness.” But here’s what happens: hard workers and job creators get punished. Regular folks end up with fewer opportunities and a hollowed-out local economy. When politicians attack success, businesses flee. It’s not rocket science—it’s Economics 101. Schultz isn’t some greedy villain; he’s proof that overtaxing success drives prosperity out of town.
Washington’s left-wing leaders love to promise “free” everything—schools, programs, handouts paid for by the mythical bottomless pit of “rich people’s money.” But when you start targeting the actual builders and innovators, they don’t stick around for the abuse. They take their families, jobs, and investments somewhere sane. Can anyone really blame Schultz for choosing a state that respects ambition over envy?
Liberals try to save face by calling this “fair share.” Yet, whose share gets hit hardest when high earners leave? Regular workers. Every Starbucks store pays wages and provides opportunities. When the person behind all that growth leaves because of politicians’ greed, it’s working families who suffer. The “millionaire tax” doesn’t just film new episodes of class warfare—it writes pink slips for real people.
Punishing success is the worst kind of incompetence. When government chases off people who create jobs and wealth, it’s not just billionaires who lose—it’s everyone. Florida’s rolling out the red carpet. Washington’s rolling out the guillotine. That’s the difference between freedom and failure. How many more visionaries have to bail before the left wakes up to reality?
