Sneaking a plaque into the Capitol, all in the name of “commemorating” the events of that day. But guess who’s not buying this nonsense? Actual police officers. Yes, the very people who the left claims to protect and defend are now being ignored and pushed aside by those same woke bureaucrats.
Metropolitan Police Officer Danny Hodges and former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn aren’t asking for much. They’re saying loud and clear that the Capitol belongs to every American—not just to some out-of-touch D.C. insiders. Installing a plaque in the dead of night, without proper process or respect, is not only shady—it’s unlawful. But when the left wants to push a narrative, laws and rules get thrown out the window faster than yesterday’s talking points.
What’s really going on here is simple. The left wants to keep the January 6th story alive forever, milking it for political points, donations, and global applause. Meanwhile, they shove aside the real heroes and steamroll over basic decency. These officers are standing up to it, asking the courts to bring back sanity and hold the radicals accountable. But don’t hold your breath waiting for Democratic leaders to actually listen to these brave cops. To them, police only matter when it serves their agenda.
Liberals love to lecture the country about the “rule of law.” Yet here they are, cutting corners, bypassing procedures, and disrespecting those who risk their lives every day. The hypocrisy isn’t new, but it sure is getting tired. They preach about unity and transparency, but all we get is more secrecy and division.
If lawmakers can’t be bothered to follow their own rules for something as basic as a memorial plaque, how can they be trusted with the bigger issues? Maybe it’s time for the left to remember that America isn’t just their playground. At some point, regular Americans and the men and women in uniform are going to say, “Enough.” How many more stunts like this does the country have to endure before Washington learns to respect its own people?
