What’s happening in West Bloomfield, Michigan today is nothing short of a national disgrace—an active shooter threat at a Jewish temple, smoke billowing from the roof, emergency units swarming the scene, and a car in flames after it rammed into the building. This is America now, courtesy of weak liberal leadership and a media too busy coddling criminals to protect the innocent. The Temple Israel was targeted in broad daylight, and though the K-12 school inside wasn’t in session, does that make anyone feel safer? This is the kind of chaos that flourishes when the left refuses to call out evil for what it is.
While police raced to secure every Jewish organization in the Detroit area, the so-called progressives who lecture us about tolerance are nowhere to be found. They cry about threats to democracy, yet violent acts against the Jewish community have skyrocketed under their watch. How long will Democrat politicians keep pandering to the radical fringe, refusing to admit the surge in anti-Semitism sweeping the country? Their open borders, soft-on-crime policies, and willingness to blame America first have emboldened the worst elements of society. And ordinary citizens pay the price.
Let’s not pretend this is some isolated event. It’s part of a pattern—hate crimes and violence targeting Jews and other communities while the left shrugs or makes excuses. Where are the calls for justice now? The FBI warns about “domestic extremism,” but when it comes to attacks on synagogues, suddenly there’s radio silence. The truth is, these are the real threats to safety—terrorism and hatred seeping in because the elites are more interested in protecting their own power than defending American lives.
Liberals love to brag about progress, but all we see is rising crime, burning cars, and terrified families. Their globalist dreams and virtue signaling don’t stop the carnage happening right here at home. When honest Americans demand action, the left accuses them of bigotry or “Islamophobia.” When will the left realize that it’s their own softness that’s sacrificing our safety—including the safety of children who could have been inside that building today?
We don’t have all the details yet about the shooter, but we know enough: this is a symptom of a society falling apart, riddled with policies that refuse to protect the people they claim to serve. If the left cared about “never again,” they’d actually do something to keep Jewish communities—and every community—safe. But is that too much to ask when their heads are stuck in the politically correct sand?
