LA Jews form their own security patrols as officials fail to protect families from rising threats

It’s shocking that in 2024, Jews in Los Angeles are still asking whether they’ll be safe simply going to school, to synagogue, or to the grocery store. This is America, not some war-torn nation halfway around the world. But thanks to years of liberal policies, globalist apathy, and weak-kneed leadership, the Jewish community is forced to take security into its own hands. While California elites virtue-signal and talk about “safe spaces,” everyday families are left asking: who’s actually going to protect us?

Now, groups of volunteers have to fill the void that city officials and do-nothing politicians have created. In LA, one security force started with neighbors, dads, and moms who simply got tired of waiting for the government to step up. They patrol streets, stand guard at schools, and refuse to be silent targets. Why? Because local officials are either too scared, too woke, or too busy pandering to care.

This is what happens when the left coddles criminals, slashes police budgets, and treats every thug like a misunderstood hero. Jews—and let’s be honest, all law-abiding citizens—pay the price. Are we not allowed to look out for our families anymore? Or will the powers that be call you “problematic” just for wanting your children to walk home safely?

The ugly truth is, for progressives, law-abiding religious Americans are the “problem.” They claim to care about inclusivity and tolerance. But when Jews face threats and violence right here at home, the silence is deafening. Maybe it’s because standing up to anti-Semitism doesn’t win them cool points with their radical friends. Maybe it’s easier to ignore the problem than hold violent criminals accountable.

Where does that leave Jewish families in LA? Forced to do the job a broken city government won’t. It’s grassroots, backyard heroism—the kind liberals love to roll their eyes at—saving lives while the establishment fiddles. If protecting your family makes you a radical, what does that say about the sorry state of our world today? Maybe it’s time more Americans stood up and stopped pretending the left’s empty promises count for anything.
